Cacao is a medicine. Even though this medicine is not psychedelic, it is a powerful medicine. I started my relationship with cacao by sitting 1:1 with her daily for 3 months. I remember about 6 weeks into our bond, my day was canceled and I was lying on my own reiki table crying like a baby. I was feeling the expansion of cacao in my heart chakra and I was being shown a relationship in my life that I valued. Cacao was showing me where I could have done better. I had to face my own trials as Cacao held my hand.

I was hearing the drumming before we even started. I came out of my meditation wondering if I was hearing the sounds of music in the background. But there was no music playing, Aya was calling me. That single dose started my process very quickly. I felt the wave of Aya coming in and the sounds almost like a warping.

When covid hit our home, my roommate was super sick and I wanted to help them + keep myself from catching it. It felt almost impossible. I caught up with a few of my favorite herbalists and they gave me all their suggestions for getting better and preventing illness.

It was just 8 months earlier that my gifts had opened up. I wasn’t even close to understanding them. However, that Sunday, Easter Sunday of 2010, I knew she was gone. I knew before we found her that she was no longer living. 

You know Whoopi Goldberg’s character in the movie, Ghost. Remember how she shakes when a spirit enters her body? It was like that for me. I woke up thinking of that scene as my bed was shaking. I was worried no one was going to know that a spirit had taken over my body. 

30 years old. In an abusive relationship. Masking my pain with drugs + alcohol, and I started to have my first spiritual awakening. I believed in psychics and mediums. In fact, I was fascinated by them. I watched Sylvia Browne and Chip Coffey on TV, but I never knew that I had any gifts.
