Description: This month’s ceremony takes place during the Full Moon just before Samhain! The Full Moon often illuminates what is working and what isn’t working. Samhain represents the end of harvest, representing death, and the beginning of winter. We will focus on letting go and nourishing our souls. We will also be honoring our ancestors during this time of Samhain when the veil is thin between the realms.
We will also be honoring the Goddess, Hecate, in our ceremony. Hecate is the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, light, ghosts, necromancy, and the moon. If you feel called to honor Hecate on the altar, she loves bread, symbols of the moon, pomegranates, mushrooms, dandelion tea, images of black dogs, lavender and myrrh incenses, mugwort, snakeskin, and animal bones. Be sure to ask permission of your items to make sure they are willing to be offered.
I'll offer you a cup of ceremonial cacao prior to our meditation and sound bath. Ceremonial Cacao is not psychedelic. It will allow you to open your heart and meditate with ease. I typically make our Ceremonial Cacao with tea, cane sugar, and cinnamon. Every now and then I add a little bit of cayenne pepper. Please let me know if you have any allergies.
Please feel free to bring items or pictures for the altar that represent you and your ancestors. These will return home with you. Bring your journal, a pen, + a bottle of water. I will have items for you to sit comfortably on the floor. Feel free to bring extra items to keep you comfortable.
